As one of five directors selected from hundreds of applicants, I collaborated with Opera Lab Berlin on their innovative project, ‘Who’s Afraid of Pop Culture?’. My contribution was a reimagining of Rihanna’s ‘Work’ and ‘Birthday Cake’ as part of a high-concept, experimental music video series. Shot in a Berlin café, the video juxtaposed contemporary music with surreal humor, featuring café owners rebelling against their hipster clientele. I developed the creative vision, directed the crew, and edited the video, guiding the production from concept to completion. This project showcased my ability to blend commercial music with bold, unconventional visuals, a skill highly applicable to commercials, branded content, and music-driven campaigns.
